I had the good fortune to meet and spend time with Laura Jewitt of Laura K. Jewitt Design at her store on 4469 W.10th Avenue, Vancouver, BC. She is a long time sponsor and supporter of Artists in Our Midst and had once again agreed to grace her store with works of art. I needed some jewellery for a weekend of events and she had the perfect pieces for the variety of occasions, dressy, casual elegant and a leisurely and opulent brunch. Her impeccable taste in helping select the pieces was a joy to experience. Thanks Laura!
The palette for the outfits was black and cream: a cream knee-length skirt, with a black Jacquard blouson jacket, a black sheath dress with discreet herringbone weave, same blouson jacket and cream trench coat, a black skirt, in a glossy fabric shot with closely spaced vertical running stitch of silver, a top with chiffon ruffles and vintage short black satin Kay Silver evening jacket that my Mom used to wear.
